Healthy Juicing Recipes: Just Beet It
When it comes to antioxidant power, few vegetables can hold a candle to the power of beets. I have never been a big beet eater, but I love loading up my juices with this immune system boosting veggie. Here’s a recipe that I call “Beet It” that will supercharge your immune system, while promoting liver health and helping with detoxing.
Whenever I am preparing for a big fast or detox, I always drink this juice recipe at least once a day for the week leading up to the fast or detox.
- 2 medium to large apples
- 1 to 2 beets (red or gold – I like to use one of each)
- 2 stalks of celery
- 1 cup of parsley
That’s all you need. Wash the ingredients and put them in your juicer. This healthy, beet-based juicer recipe is a great drink to start off the day with. It’s not too sweet, but not too bitter, and will get your energy levels humming, and power up your immune system.
